FAV Systems has engineered the Right Side Up Thief Hatch to eliminate problems associated with thief hatches in general. All other thief hatches incorporate a vacuum valve that is hanging in the thief hatch valve upside down. Being that the valve is upside down, all rust, debris, ice, water and any blow debris is sitting on the valve pallet, where if the valve opens, debris falls right in between the seat and the valve pallet causing continuous leaking. Once the valve opens, the chance of junk getting between the seat is very high and often happens.

The Counter-Force Pressure Suspended Pallet is a unique pallet that you won't find in any other manufacturer's vents because FAV Systems. holds the patent to this incredible pallet design. With this pallet we can achieve a superior leak rate compared to our competitors. Vents can be set as low as 1/4 in / wc. Our leak rates are below 0.5 SCFH at 98% of set point and all the way down to 0.05 SCFH at 90% of set point. This provides the buyer with increased profits due to exceptionally low products loss. The pallet is constructed with 316 Stainless Steel and a Viton diaphragm which are standard (other configurations and materials available upon request). The valve achieves such great performance by inflating against the seat as the pressure rises in the vent body. This means that the closer the vent is to its set point the better the seal is between the seat and the diaphragm.
